Loggia del Capitaniato is located on the Piazza dei Signori, opposite the Basilica Palladiana. It is another building designed by the architect Andrea Palladio. It is home to a local government service so was not able to be viewed internally.

The Loggia del Capitaniato is a splendid building, designed (again) by Andrea Palladio in the 16th century. It stands out on the central square in Vicenza, Piazza dei Signori. It is an important building, actively used by the council of Vicenza.

Vicenza is full of Palladio work and this is one of the nicer villas in the city center. Worth stopping on your way around.

Loggia del Capitaniato is located on the Piazza dei Signori right across the Basilica Palladiana. Presently it's home to Vicenza municipal government. I haven't been inside the building since it was closed.

I did not go inside but this building is located on the main plaza and stands out even with the larger building just across the plaza. It's pink color is unique and lends itself well to the collection of other buildings in Vicenza

This magnificent building, one of many in the beautiful Piazza Signori is very different from many other Palladian buildings with its rose pink and red columns and the red brick walls and arches. It shows what an incredible and versatile architect Palladio was.
