Stopped in to see the beauty of this Basilica during an outing in Vicenza. Was right next to the bell tower when the bells began to ring and the sound was beautiful and reverent. A sound I will never forget.

We walked past this beautiful little church on our way to the hotel. Mosaics from the 4th century AD and amazing interior architecture.

This church is really important in the history of church buildings in Italy and Europe generally. Look it up, and be sure to read the little history inside the church.

We took a detour to this lovely little church, the earliest in Vicenza. It's simple, small and austere. There are some Roman mosaics which are displayed in small pits below the nave and transcepts. It's free but only open till midday each day.
