Being on top of the basilica is a spectacular view of Piazza Dei Signori and the surrounding area. If you are lucky enough to go now, they have a very elegant bar at the top of it, serving wine, cocktails and small snacks. A must...More

Of course, the architecture was magnificent. We paid 3E to gain entrance and walk around the balcony which wraps all the way around. A bar is on the rooftop but we got there 5 minutes before it closed. It would have been very helpful if...More

This is another outstanding ancient architecture. A walk around it is relaxing on a summer evening. The restaurants around it with their coffee, beer, wine or the gelaterie full of fresh ice cream. It’s an amazing walk experience to stroll through Vicenza central with family...More

Beautiful building representing one of Pladdios best designs. The building itself is impressive especially when viewed from the top of Monte Berico above Vicenza which I did this morning. The square around the building has some of Vicenza's best people watching. Good place for a...More

This building, with its gorgeous loggias, sits in the heart of Vicenza. At one of its ends, the statue of Palladio, who designed the building, can be found.

At no point did I see any signs saying I couldn’t look over the edge, but I certainly got a telling off very loudly, in front of everyone. Very embarrassing. Never saw the signs on the way back down either! There’s a smoking area at...More

Firstly - this is an amazing building and one of the most beautiful that I have come across. But, as with everything in Vicenza - Palladio's brilliant architecture is really poorly managed and as a tourist, the city tourism office makes it difficult to embrace...More

4€ to go inside and right up to roof top level. Beautiful architecture. Lovely views over the rooftops and piazza. There is a cafe and bar at the top which I expect is wonderful at night. I visited at 11:30am and it was 12 when...More

The climb is definitely worth it to walk around the top of the Palladio and see the many sides of Vicenza - just gorgeous. The building had a fascinating architecture exhibition when we visited, so clearly embraces innovative and interesting presentations. There is a roof...More

The "basilica" (not a church, in this case) also has a nice terrace with a great view over the old centre of Vicenza. The internal "salone superiore" can be devoted to some special exhibit with a separate ticket, but the staff may let you peek...More
