For the second time in town, I decided to mount the stairs. It's actually pretty quick to the top, about 10 minutes and worth it. You can also take the funicular which costs just 2€ for both ways. The view is beautiful on both sides...More

Worth the climb. From this square you get the classic view of Verona that you see in travel brochures. Better in the morning *if* you don't want the sun shinning directly into lens.

We took the funicular up to the Castel San Pietro. The views are amazing and where I think most of the photos of Verona are taken. There was also a restaurant located there that had food or just drinks. It also had a great view...More

We could have got the funicular, of course, but that wouldn't have been so much fun! There several things to see in this area and it's worth checking when they are open. We didn't (shame on us) and so were disappointed that some were closed....More

This nicely renovated Castle is over Verona, that you can reach by car (tiny roads, old streets, bit stressy to reach the top) or by foot from the near brifódge (15 minutes to climb up). By car, if you put your navigation target to Camping...More

This area offers an excellent vantage point of the city and it is fun to get up there by using the funicular.

Nice for an explore and walk, beautiful views! The best view of the whole of verona, take a bottle of water if going when hot, as its uphill walking!

Definitely worth a healthy hike up the hill to see the panorama view of the city. The bridge (Ponte Pietra) across the river leading to the hill was very beautiful. It was getting too hot so we took the funicular down.

Great views - best early in the day before the sun gets too westerly. Very hot day so the railway was a relief avoiding the walk up 250 feet. Best to have done the rest of your touring first; it helps put the views into...More

We walked up to the castle early morning to avoid the heat. There are a fair bit of stairs to climb so be prepared for a bit of effort. There is a funicular but that was not running early morning. There is a nice looking...More
