Took he funicular up to see the views from the top. As a senior citizen, was given a discount. The views from the top overlook Verona. You don't realize how big Verona is until you see it from this perspective.

Worth the climb. From this square you get the classic view of Verona that you see in travel brochures. Better in the morning *if* you don't want the sun shinning directly into lens.

We could have got the funicular, of course, but that wouldn't have been so much fun! There several things to see in this area and it's worth checking when they are open. We didn't (shame on us) and so were disappointed that some were closed....More

This nicely renovated Castle is over Verona, that you can reach by car (tiny roads, old streets, bit stressy to reach the top) or by foot from the near brifódge (15 minutes to climb up). By car, if you put your navigation target to Camping...More

This area offers an excellent vantage point of the city and it is fun to get up there by using the funicular.
