The theater is across the river but it is not far from the other sites. We were in the site when it started to rain which gave us plenty of time to wander the museum. It is worth the time! It is a must do!!!...More
This is more than just a Roman theater. It's an entire hillside of ruined temples and such. Definitly worth a look, and it is included on the Verona card.
We enjoyed crossing the river and spending time at the Teatro Romano. Some of the mosaic floors on display were stunning, and the views from certain rooms in the museum back towards the city were great.
Compared to other Roman amphitheaters we have seen, this one has been too modernized to make it appealing. I think it would be nice to actually watch a performance here, but not to visit. Though, you do get some nice views of Verona.
