This is the oldest church in Verona, and was very beautiful, however the Church is undergoing significant internal renovation works at present which hinders the opportunity to see much of its beauty. The audio guide (inclusive with ticket price) was incredibly interesting, and really focused on the much older lower vault/church.. For 6.50 euros you can get a pass which... More

We purchased a ticket which gained you entrance into 4 churches. Perhaps because we visited this one last, but if you can only visit a couple make sure you go to the Duomo and Anastasia. Right now the main church here is under renovation.

Standing near the river is the church of San Fermo. What makes it so interesting is that the 'top' church is in the baroque style while if you go downstairs, the lower church is in a much older, Romanesque style with frescoes dating from around 1100-1200. I preferred the lower church but the upper church has a number of interesting... More

This church has a wonderful surprise in that it is two churches. The upstairs is wonderful with amazing frescoes. However little did I know that downstairs there is another church from the tenth century with stunning art, architecture and artifacts. Suggestion: Get the church pass for six euros and visit the insides of four different churches in Verona. Great deal... More

A simple church was built here in the 5th century. Then in the 10th century, it was razed to its foundations and another church was built. Some of the foundation is still view able. Then in the 12th century another church was built over the second church. The second and third churches are both usable and function as a single... More

A lovely visit - we were able to use the card which we had brought that allowed us to visit all four of the main churches in Verona. Before we entered the church we were able to look around at the art displays that had been out up, and so it was a nice and satisfying visit.

Beautiful beamed ceiling, frescoes and very peaceful. It is worth looking for the "Roman" church, down the stairs, into an arcade, and through a glass door. Then, quite miraculously, here is the other church, quite beautiful in its simplicity, underneath.

This is a lovely church beautifully set back a little from the street with well-placed pots of selected plants and exotics, definitely a nice transition into the quiet church itself. Our only regret was we were there only 10 minutes when we gently informed the church would be closing (I think for lunch). Would have liked to spend more peaceful... More

It is well worth visiting as part of the 4 churches for 6 euros ticket. The ceiling is quite amazing, very different from all of the other churches in Verona.
