This Basilica is mighty and beautiful, and absolute must see in Verona. It's stunning inside and so tranquil. The original bronze doors are a must see

We loved San Zeno. It is about a 10 or 15 minute walk from the Arena and Piazza Bra and is absolutely well worth a visit. I visited with an artist friend of mine who was keen to sketch the church's famous bronze panelled doors....More

It may look like it's out of the way, but you can take a pleasant stroll down a pedestrian walkway along the river from the Castelvecchio, to get to San Zeno. Take advantage of the recorded tour and there is a lot to see and...More

The Basilica is just a 10 minute walk from the Arena. Beautiful fresco's. Unique bronze doors. A must. Do buy the visitors card to visit the churches. Its cheaper than paying individually.

A beautiful historic church with an amazing brass door covered in scenes, fantastic Romanesque interior, high-quality medieval frescoes, a lovely cloister and great carving inside and out! Must-see for those with any appreciation of the above.

The scaffolding industry is alive and well in Verona - our fourth church visit in two days, and all had major restoration under way. Our four church inclusive ticket (just 5 euros for seniors) made this a really good value visit, and despite the scaffolding...More

Since it was on our Verona Card, we had no intention of missing this wonderful sight. It seemed too far to walk but the bus33 went right to it from the Castellovecchio. The Card covers bus rides and they proved pretty easy. Not at all...More

The fundation is from 367, so very ancient indeed. Beautiful fresco's, in several layers, some even with medieval graffity! An african bishop in the early days makes it extra special, as the attached cloister and the unattached tower also do. The bronze door is unique....More

This was a suggestion from our Airbnb host, and I couldn't be happier with the trip there. It's a little farther than most of the sights in Verona, but still only about 10 or 15 minutes minutes from the Arena. I was stunned upon walking...More

Hi, you can find the ticket at the entrance and this include other churches too. The audio is inside the church, but you will find someone there very helpful. The tour is less than 1 hour but it worth. Enjoy it :)

At the entrance of the 4 historical churches of Verona there is a basket where you will find some kimono that you can put over naked shoulders or wear if you are dressed with pants or skirt too short. This is a free service.
