I love museums like this: skulls, skeletons, reconstructions for just one euro!
The collection is truly rich and considering that I want to go to the Bolca site soon, finding so many of those finds here was an unexpected stroke of luck.
Friendly staff, remarkable cleanliness.

This is an old style natural history museum with cases full of old and sometimes deteriorating specimens. The fossil hall is excellent. Fee included in VeronaCard.

Maybe it was me - but I had no interest in going to this museum figuring it would be small and uninteresting. However, the fossils on display - mostly found nearby - were stunning. Some of it was difficult to understand because there was not a lot of English translation, but it was well worth the visit and a bit of a break from religious art.

Not really knowing what to expect from this museum we were pleasantly surprised by the quality & quantity of the exhibits on display. We had a particular interest in the fossil record & this subject was well represented by some excellent exhibits notably the fish. The museum was well signposted to ensure visitors didn't miss any areas. The displays were well organised & labelled with plenty of staff on hand to answer any questions. For the cost of 4.5 euros pp the museum represents very good value for money & a great way to spend a couple of hours. Definately worth a visit.

This museum is a must-see for people of all ages. Not only for tourists, there are often groups of school children going through. The fossil room houses the largest and best collection of fossils I've ever seen... including a complete alligator (or crocodile) and trees!

Super exhibits accessible even to non Italian speakers. It would have been helpful to have had a little more information in English but a wonderful museum to be enjoyed by all. Fossils seemed to be of an exceptional standard to wonder about.

Visited on a rainy Sunday as this museum is included in the Verona Card and happened to be nearby when the rain started. The museum has a number of different displays from fossils (very cool) to a number of stuffed birds and animals. A number of really badly stuffed animals were positioning in the main hall at the time of visit, including a cheetah which looked nothing like one. The highlight of our visit was a photographic exhibition of sights inn Ethiopia which was on for a short period of time. But overall, we were uninspired by this museum which has a lot of potential. Unfortunately English labelling is lacking, which is a surprise in such a well visited city, which didn't help.
Would not have visited had it not been for the Verona card and would not prioritise this museum as there are much better places to see in the city.

This is a great place to take kids - although I have none, and have been three times. The fossil collection is out of this world, with full two-sided fossils of sharks, manta rays, an alligator, multiple varieties of fish and insects, as well as ferns and full grown trees!
The stuffed animal display is also quite comprehensive. There are also geologic, mineral, and other displays. Quite a lovely way to spend a few hours... especially to break up days of touring old ruins.

This place is a lot bigger than we imagined. Its great if your into stuff like this because there's just so much of it . Its a shame that the descriptions and information weren't in English .Enjoyable visit however feel like some of the bigger animals that were there weren't 100% real and some did look slightly plastic. Maybe I'm wrong though. Good with Verona card
