I’m surprised, my tour guide mentioned the connecting alleyway between Piazza Erbe and Piazza Signori, but not the bridge. I’m so happy I got a photo of the bridge. The bridge was essentially a safety net for the magistrate and legal personnel from any of the potential danger on the street below (especially at night). It was a connection between their residences and the law offices. It probably proved very useful for disturbing the public and drunkenness, during the middle of the night.

You will find it just in the center of the city in Piazza Erbe. There is an interesting leyend about this place

Such a historic site - loved it. You have to look up to see it which may hurt your neck if you’re not careful

The arch was erected in 1470 and showcases a curved rib under the arch. Some people say that the rib is from a whale, while others claim the rib is from an ancient dragon. What would you think. I think I will go for the ancient dragon.

Surprised I didn’t get hit on the head by the bone as I walked underneath! Amazing that this has hung there for 3 centuries without falling!

One can easily miss the whole thing, since the arch is pretty, but do not stands out too much, and you have to get close to notice the whale bone hanging from it.

A Beautiful arch that everyone looks up at a whale bone hanging from the arch. I don't know the significance of the bone hanging from the arch but people come to see it.
