My daughter and I toured with Lorella in Verona; we felt like a friend was showing us around her beloved city! With her warmth and enthusiasm, we were thoroughly engaged and learned about the history of Verona and the true story behind Romeo and Juliet.

Valerie is an excellent guide. This was a great tour, we found out many hidden and interesting things about the city. We even tell these stories to our friends. I would totally recommend this tour service to any Verona visitor.

Having blotted my copybook at home with an unscripted visit to Mantua, I booked a personal tour of Verona at very short notice (48 hours) and was absolutely delighted with the result. Lorella was waiting for us even though we were 15 minutes early and was both charming and informative. She took the time to gauge our backgrounds and interests... More

Usually i am always very sceptic with guides and i see them with other tourists, therefore i never took one before. When looking for the option for a guide in Verona, found Lorella (working for "A guide in Verona"). I saw the good reviews and thought give it a try. And was worth it definitely: Fazit: - very flexible tour... More

Dear Peter, so happy that you and your wife felt comfortable during this tour. You are both young but very experienced travellers, so your words are really important to make visitors understand that a tour with a private guide makes the discovery of a place a very personal and unique moment indeed. The idea of offering this tour to your... More

Valeria met my daughter and I at the train station with a car and driver and then took us on a 4 hour wine tasting tour of the region. We learned a great deal about the region and the famous Amarone wine. We visited 2 very different wineries and tasted a variety of wines produced in the area. I would... More

Dear Beth and Sam, what a pleasure meeting you guys! What a great afternoon we had. Customizing a wine tour is one of the most interesting experiences indeed... trying to tell what a traveler would love to see and drink, and getting organized to make it happen: this is what I like! Take care and come back to see me... More

Our group of approximately 20 cyclists/noncyclists took a break from exploring Lake Garda towns to take in the sights and sounds of Verona. We booked Valeria through a companion website and she proved to be the perfect guide to introduce us to the rich history of the city. Appreciated our time in Piazza del Erbe for a gelato/apertif break; the... More

Valeria took us on an amazing private tour of three wineries in the Valpolicella region that produces the Amarone wines that we have grown to love. I researched winery tours and sent emails to three operators I thought might give us what we were looking for. Of the three, "A Guide in Verona" was the most responsive. Valeria asked the... More

Lorella took us around the historical centre of Verona showing the well known gems but also hidden corners & cultural gems that we would not have noticed......what was also so interesting was the history of the City & its relationship with the Popes, Venice & Germany

Our visit to the Carlo Scarpa sites of Verona with Valeria was very enjoyable – a major part of our trip to northern Italy was to visit as many Scarpa sites as we could, and Valeria had access to Verona’s Banco Populaire, for which, as non-Italian speakers, we were grateful for the access. Valeria was very knowledgeable about Scarpa, and... More

It's been a nice experience for me as well: every time I discover something new, thanks to Scarpa's love for hidden details and thanks to "my" travelers' eyes, that help me open mine! Take care, Valeria More

We went to Verona on a day trip from Venice, and used Valeria with A Guide in Verona. She was fabulous! We like history, and she expertly showed us the major sites, and some hidden ones we would not have seen otherwise as well. She customized our tour to hit all the things we wanted. And, showed us the best... More
