This church is located in the Sestiere of Santa Croce, in the eponymous campo, fronting the eponymous canal, located a short distance from Piazzale Roma. 6 Corinthian columns support the churches portico. Above the portico is a large oval window

Yet another church it would be easy to pass by. The façade isn't much to look at, although I've seen worse. It is light and airy inside, bigger than I was expecting. It houses the tombs of several Doge's and also has the funeral monument...More

With its large Corinthian portico (the only one in Venice), this church is worth a quick visit, if one is in the area. Bigger than expected, it is very attractive

Looks plain from the outside. Inside it was a beautiful and much larger church than we imagined. Really worth a walk through.
