I’ve been researching on Venetian lamp glass pieces and wanted to bring home a few pieces. Vittorio’s shop is on my top list. When I got to the shop, it was closed but the window displayed amazing pieces of work - lifelike beetles, dragonflies, bees.......More

We stumbled upon this little shop quite by chance as we were wandering through Venice. It is off the beaten path in the Fondemente Nuove district, but well worth the effort to find. His work is exquisite! He focuses on creating life like glass sculptures...More

What an incredible delight to be able to make it to this master craftsman workshop. It was a little challenging with the different streets but is in a lovely part of town away from crowds. He does close for lunch so check the times. Born...More

Vittorio Costantini is a Venetian treasure. No one else makes glass birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, insects, etc with the skill and beauty he has achieved. It is more than worth seeking out his shop in the Fundament Nove just to look. But if you can,...More

This was an accidental but spectacular find for us in Castello neighborhood. No other workshop in Venice can approach the craftsmanship you can get here. Too bad that the workshop was closed when we visited it again. Highly recommended.

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
