We stumbled upon this little shop quite by chance as we were wandering through Venice. It is off the beaten path in the Fondemente Nuove district, but well worth the effort to find. His work is exquisite! He focuses on creating life like glass sculptures...More

I had been to Venezia several times before, but stumbled on this shop approx 2005. I was enthralled by the detail of the tiny creatures Sr. Contadini makes & purchased a handful ( literally) of life size insects. I stumbled again on his small shop...More

This was an accidental but spectacular find for us in Castello neighborhood. No other workshop in Venice can approach the craftsmanship you can get here. Too bad that the workshop was closed when we visited it again. Highly recommended.

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)

transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying

for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
