The church is nice and has a couple significant Tintoretto and Titian paintings but the main attraction is on the other side of the street at the Scoula Santa Rocco. Do NOT miss that!

This church has a charming interior. At the time of our visit, however, a lot of the interior was blocked off for restoration. That being said, there was no entrance fee, so we appreciated the opportunity to look in on this church.

This church named after saint Rocco back up to a larger, older one named after Pantalon. The role of tradition is significant in the churches here. I will venture to say that over the centuries many parishioners knew more about the tradition associated with these...More

San Rocco is a beautiful small church that has paintings by famous artists like Tintoretto. The inside is beautiful and there is a fee to enter.

Chiesa di San Rocco is another beautiful church, of which there are plenty in Venice. This one is a 15th century building, with some later alterations. It is beautifully constructed and presents an amazingly aesthetic picture both outside and inside. Worth a visit.

Another gem in Venice. Several Tintoretto's, St. Roch and Annunciation amongst others. The Dome and Apse by Il Pordenone, with the Altar by Fantoni. Raise your eyes on leaving to see a wonderful looking organ above you. Very pretty inside and another place to sit...More

We took the time to show our respect to this small house of worship during a day in Venice. Even as a small church in Venice, it was far more grand and ornate inside than most US Churches of any denomination. A relaxing Sunday stop...More

One of Venice's four plague churches, along with San Giobbe, San Sebastiano and the Salute, this church was built 1489-1508 by Pietro Bon for the Confraternity of San Rocco, along with the scuoletta to the right of the church's façade. The confraternity had been founded...More
