This church is open only because of volunteers. It would be a shame if visitors were no longer able to see the earliest of the five Last Supper paintings by Tintoretto scattered around Venice.

With so many churches to see in Venice, this church, located along the Grand Canal, at the San Marcuola stop on the vaporetto line, is plain. Has a façade that looks as though it is ribbed concrete, but is actually brick. There is one half...More

Nothing special at this church...in fact,for me,it seems one of the ugliest churches in Venice.There are many,many churches more beautiful to see here.

with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,

I think they are open Monday thru Saturday from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Have fun!
