Took the half-day cruise from Oriago to Venice. Saw one villa, La Malcontenta, which was interesting but not, for me, stunning. Boat was pleasant; the scenery nothing special, compared with other river cruises I've taken in Germany and Austria. Staff was competent and friendly. The...More

What a better way to step in time than a leisurely cruise on the Brenta river aboard the Burchiello. This is a great complement to understanding the state of minds of great artists such as Casanova, Byron, Goethe as they approached La Serenissima. Modernity has...More

I guess you could say that we were not impressed with our tour of the Brenta Canal for several reasons - none of which had to do with the crew or the guide. We were disappointed in the boat that brought for us to cruise...More

I've always wanted to see Palladio's Malcontenta and that is what motivated me initially to take this day trip. However, I really enjoyed the entire day so much. This is so well managed and ran like clockwork while we just basked in the sun up...More

This well-managed and comfortable all-day excursion to Padua on the Brenta Canal is an excellent way to see the countryside outside the city. The boat glides past many mansions from the 15th and 16th centuries, touring three, including Malcontenta, one of Palladio's masterpieces. There are...More

We took this trip from Padua to Venice. The meeting point was not clearly marked for people arriving 10 minutes before the time. We were taken on a boat different from the one pictured, and only in the middle of the trip we were moved...More

Yes it goes from the outskirts of Padua to Venice. Take a look at our review to see that there is a bit of a walk from the road to the boat even if you take a taxi. Not sure if the boat operates in October or ifthe Villa's... More

The boat trip does not appeal to me. The canal sides are rather built up not always in the most attractive manner. The boat seemed to me to be long winded and expensive. Much better to travel on the bus ( inexpensive) and... More
