Nice way to spend a day

Get away from the crowds of St Marc's". €20 gets you a trip round 3 islands. Nice boat journey and stops at 3 islands with enough time to have a look around.

If the weather permits, it is one of the most beautiful place in the world: great, amazing scenery. It is advisable to watch it not only from the shore, but also from the boat (or ship). Spectacular.

Beware of free water taxi to Murano, including those arranged by your hotel. Although ride and glass blowing demo were both nice, did not like being trapped at the showroom with no access to anything else.

I went to Burano the other day...it was a bit rainy and cool but the ride from Fondamento Nove made the trip very easy. The stops included Murano, Torcello and Burano. The pilots on board were very helpful. The Italins speak English that should put us Americans to shame. It was a lovely ride, unbelievable scenery and a fun way... More

We booked a private transfer and I loved the trip across the lagoon, no idea of the actual speed but it seemed to be quite fast. Hard to believe its quite shallow

The perfect way to see Murano, Burano and Torcello - We went to photograph the colourful houses of Burano, but especially loved Torcello! Great Day Out!

Our Uniworld River Countess was docked at several locations while on a 7 day cruise to Venice in April. Always in walking distance to the main attractions. On Saturday our Captain toured the lagoon sailing past a lot of beautiful scenery and givng us a view Boronno, Murano and Torchello along with lots of pleasure boats out for the day.

The islands of the North Lagoon are a special visit if you have seen enough of Venice proper. You can do it on your own with the vaparetto but we recommend the use of a guide and a private boat for the best experience. Il Bragozzo tours gave us a great experience.

hard to believe that anyone wants to live on islands that are sinking into the sea and are built on wooden stilts! The lagoon is huge and is incredibly busy with craft criss crossing it at speed, coming perilously close to collisions time after time!
