After braving the crowds on the Accademia Bridge it is nice to find a large square that is not too busy . Place to eat and shop here.

This was one of my favourite spots in Venice. Nice bars for snacks, drinks and ice cream, restaurants for lunch and dinner. Great place to sit and watch people go by to and from Academia bridge.

Very lovely historic building and great ambience. Couple of fine restaurants with out door seating. Seems to capture old Venice without mobs of tourists with selfie sticks. No panhandlers here. Used to have bull fights here. Good place to relax and have a smoke
