My boyfriend and I stayed in Venice for 5 days and came here 4 times! We loved it so much and I'm missing it now. Main reason we went in the first place is because Venice is so expensive & we saw that this bar had happy hour 4-6pm making a round of two drinks 9 euros! Fab! The atmosphere... More

We stumbled across this bar while site seeing in the city & what a great find!!! We ended up returning 3 times during our stay! A wonderful atmosphere with very interesting decor!!! Good deals on happy hour & good cocktails! Fantastic service too . Jazz music playing in the background which just added to the atmosphere! Don't miss this place... More

Solid spot for some good wines and in a good location. Was with my wife and we returned the next night on the way back to the hotel to stop in for a bottle of wine :)

They pack them in here, it makes for a cosy friendly vibe though. We didn't eat, just many cocktails and shots. Great music, great company, great host, interesting ceiling decoration! The Miles Davies is to be recommended.

We called in for a casual drink in the early afternoon after trudging round the streets near the Rialto Bridge. There were not too many people in at that time but the staff was attentive and the wine, beer and snacks were good. There was jazz background music that was pleasant but not intrusive and we spent a pleasant hour... More

The pizza is average. The prices are high, but it is near the Rialto Bridge. It was the most uninspiring food we had in Italy. On the plus side, the kitchen was still open at 10:30pm. The place was packed with Americans. Atmosphere was noisy. Servers spoke excellent English and were very attentive. Not a romantic location at the time... More

If you find yourself wandering around Venice between 4-6pm with nothing to do, stop by for Happy Hour. The drinks are 2 for 1 and the atmosphere is lively. It can be extremely busy during happy hour, but if you are lucky enough to find a table, don't be shy to chat with your neighbors. What made this bar so... More

We were so pleased we happened upon this little jewel just near the Rialto Bridge! Lively music with first rate good and cocktails! The staff were so attentive we felt like family by our last night. Fantastic atmosphere and the ceiling...well you better pay them a visit to get the whole story!

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
