Just a stop away from the overcrowded St Mark's Square on the number 2 vaporetto route this beautiful basilica also has a bell tower that is on a par with the one in St Marks's Square but is completely free from annoying queues. Walk through the church with its beautiful paintings and find the lift to the top of the... More

Small little island but it offers a stunning church with the best viewpoint of Venice up on the Bell tower. The cost up the elevator is 6€. You get a 360 view of islands. Come back to view the sunset on the steps of the church. The silhouette of Venice makes a perfect photo!

I love this church. On my third visit there, this past July, I was surprised with a very "cool" art installation. It just added to the experience. This is a truly fantastic place to "see" Venice. Take the elevator up the campanile to get fabulous views.

our local guide suggested a visit here to see the city from the belltower- it was definitely a highlight as it was not crowded and the view remarkable

Well worth to visit and see the Church and a view from Campanilla to Venice from other side.No crowd, no stress, just beautiful and quiet.Impressive church with rich artwork and the panorama of Venice, good look to Giudecca canal and to Grand canal.Obligatory to see.

We often nip over to this island on a number 1 vaporetta I think. The church is nice, but it is the tower you need to visit and there is a lift. This gives great vies over the whole lagoon and in particular back to San Marco square. Well worth a visit and the tower entrance fee. Highly recommended.

If you're only going to Venice for a day, this interior could be skipped. However, got o St mark's Square to watch the colours change on the facade around dusk.

The best thing about the church is the view from the tower. There is a bathroom available to those who pay for the tower elevator, but bring your own paper. If you have a 24 or more hour vaporetto pass, it is worth it to go here, but expensive otherwise. The tower in San Marco Square might be a better... More
