This way to experience the canals of Venice is incredible! Self-powered gliding through both small quiet canals, as well as coming down Canal Grande under the Rialto bridge and the choppy waters in front of the Piazza San Marco. Pulling the kayaks out of the canal on a Piazza, enjoying lunch under the parasols, in short no better way to... More

My husband planned this on our honeymoon last May (rediscovered the pics today and thought I should review). The experience was awesome. Our guide was extremely nice and extremely patient (I'm not the best kayaker). He told us some neat things about the city as we went around. He took plenty of pictures and sent them to us within 24... More

Let me start by saying that I 100% recommend kayaking the canals, but please choose another company. This one has zero respect for its customers. My boyfriend and I booked the half day tour. However, the morning of our tour was extremely foggy. So our guide, Loretta, told us that instead we would be joining the full day tour that... More

What an amazing experience! Gliding through the canals on a kayak was really fun and you definitely get a new perspective on the city. It is a workout for those of us who don't exercise much, and I was tired at the end, but it was well worth it!

What a fantastic way to see Venice, from a perspective few are afforded. The three-hour tour was perfect. My wife and I took the tandem kayak and were in a very small group. Crossing the lagoon was just fine, even though my wife (a non-paddler) was a little worried. The boats are real sea kayaks with spray skirts, but they're... More

My daughter and I just got back from our trip from Italy, we spent one day with Venice Kayak and loved every minute of it. We had some experience, but out in the open in a natural setting. It took a little work to get used to maneuvering around boats ( parked and passing), and making turns, but our guide... More

One of the best experiences ever! My husband and I were novice kayakers before this trip. Now we are classed as intermediate!! Paddling across the Grand Canal amongst all the traffic was exhilarating, with Loretta, the owner, directing and making sure we were all safe and inspired! It is a fascinating experience paddling along the narrow canals, under bridges and... More

We took a flyer on this and decided to take the half day Venice tour. My wife and I did the double kayak and found this pretty easy. The tour takes you through a bunch of back channels and bridges. The only challenge was getting to the vaporetto stop on Cortesa for the trip.

Dear Adam B, thank you for choosing Venice Kayak for your outdoor activity and thank you for your review! It's true: Certosa island is not "around the corner" as San Marco square could be, but with the correct directions it's easy to reach it. The Certosa island is served by 2 lines of vaporetto, which are circular lines spanning most... More

A lovely day, we were a little late but our guide Lucia was waiting for us and got us prepped without impacting the rest of the group. After a short schooling session to ensure we were all able to manage a kayak safely we set off for a 3 hour tour around the canals and across the lagoon. It's a... More
