It is now our fourth visit to Venice and we are only just getting to the Gallerie dell'Accademia as there were many things to see and do in Venice. It is a welcome relief to be in the musuem on this very hot Friday in...More

Wholeheartedly recommended. I noticed a couple of reviews which mentioned "surly staff". Can't speak for the other reviewers but all the staff I encountered during my visit seemed pleasant, friendly and really went over and above my expectations in all aspects of their roles. The...More

This is a nice study of Art realting to Venice over the years. But Venice itself is better. The museum layout and flow is disrupted by construction and they have in my mind done a poor job displaying the best path through the exhibition. I...More

If you don't have time to visit and explore, at least get some pics from the island with this in the background.

Wonderful large museum of mostly religious art from the 14th to the 18th centuries, air conditioning in summertime was appreciated, the information cards in most rooms provide adequate information for the casual visitor, the building is large and grand.

We spent a little over an hour perusing the lovely collection here. The museum itself is quite beautiful but there are so wonderful pieces of art, and we enjoyed our visit immensely.

When we went there to see "The Man" a very helpful staff at the entrance informed us that it is almost NEVER in display, and he himself saw it only a couple of times. The picture is simply too fragile to be exposed to light... More

Dear Jane, we have toilets on the ground floor of the museum. Unfortunately we don't have a restaurant yet, but we will open one early next year!
