This is always a busy place, filled with tourists - but what isn't?? Best to go there early morning or at night for some excellent photo opportunities. Also good to see it from a water taxi if you get the chance.

If you look past the bustling crowds here, you'll see a very impressive bridge, a real achievement of building work. But it does get extremely busy. Best to come early of you want a decent photograph. You can also get a good photo at the...More

Food, drink, and shopping galore! This is a busy area, regardless of the time of year. Check out Suso for the best gelato around; Calle della Bissa, 5453, 30124 San Marco, Venezia VE, Italy

Of course this is an absolute Must DO in Venice. Go anytime, but make sure you go to the Rialto Market in the morning, walk around, see all the Fish and Vegetable Merchats, get a little breakfast and take lots of pictures. Basta !

This is the main tourist stop in Venice. It's in the middle of everything, crossing the Grand Canal. There are many bridges but only 3 cross the Grand Canal and this is the main one. Stores line both sides of the bridge. Rubber tomahawk anyone?

We drove there by car till the city limits and took a water taxi, but if I remember reading correctly you can arrive at the train station and there should be a bus service that takes you there.
