A masterpiece of Gothic architecture, the building and its sculptural decoration date from various periods. The interior, with works by artists such as Titian, Veronese, Tintoretto, A.Vittoria and Tiepolo, includes vast council chambers, superbly decorated residential apartments, and austere prison cells. Along the facades of the Palace run loggias that overlook St. Mark’s Square and the lagoon. The combined entrance ticket to the St. Mark’s Square Museums grants access to the Doge’s Palace, Museo Correr, Museo Archeologico Nazionale and Monumental Rooms of Biblioteca Marciana.

Paid for a tour and it was so worth it. Gorgeous inside and out. This was our favorite thing in Venice.

This was an interesting tour and we saw rooms with phenomenal paintings on the walls. It was very hot and crowded in summer.

Wonderful place, Historic Doge's government residence in centuries gone by. Beautiful art works. What can I say? Don't miss it. Avoid queues and visit with a guide.

From May 17 the Doges Palace have had a "Museum by Moonlight" thing where the museum is open until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Brilliant as no one seems to know about it so if you turn up there's hardly a soul to be seen...More

The tour itself was poorly organized, but the place is amazing. Just the sheer size of some of the rooms is jaw dropping. You have to see it if you are there.

This is a beautiful place to explore several rooms filled with gorgeous art and architecture as well as a prison! Unlike the cathedral, there were no lines to get in, and it was not too crowded which really helped with the experience.

Lots of rooms to see, beautiful paintings, and the cells and the bridge of sighs. I learnt a lot about the history of Venice from this visit.

San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one
of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza
San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica,
clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops,
orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand
pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring
campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower,
plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and

Hi. If we buy the combined St Marks Square Museums ticket do we have to visit each site on the same day? We were hoping to spread it over two days and don't want to have to buy tickets twice... Thanks

Not sure about a ticket office! We met a rep at the front of the building by a bridge! For our tour Think it depends on who you pre book with. Enjoy the tour we did
Hi, We are wanting to do Secret Itineraries Tour, and my research does say unsuitable for wheelchair users. I realise many steep, narrow stairs are involved, but can anyone help and advise if these stairs have hand rails? I have difficulty with stairs if no hand rail is present, but really would like to do tour.Any help greatly appreciated
