One of the few bridges that crosses the Grand Canal. Therefore, it's typically packed with people all doing the same thing: climb up, take a picture, go down. But the spot is worth it, whether to take pictures of yourself, Santa Maria della Salute or greet the people who are traveling below by gondola or vaporetto.

One of the two main bridges of Venice. A good walk to this area. Plenty of trees and interesting 'streets'. Busy on a Sunday made the area lively and enjoyable.

We walked here from Rialto, and crossed over to go to the Guggenheim Museum. Gorgeous views from here

We traveled under this one bridge on our adventure traversing the Grand Canal- it's toward the end. We didn't cross it by foot, so we didn't get to see- nor add- a lock.

The Ponte dell'Accademia is one of only four bridges to span the Grand Canal. Good views over the gran canal.

Mostly lovely spot to enjoy Grand canal or take the most perfect picture of Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute, and Grand Canal by sunset or during Blue light time. It's just as good at sunrise as well. You just capture the other side,

We hopped of the water bus at this stop as we were looking for a certain shop and were amazed by the wooden bridge that spans the grand canal. We climbed to the top and took some photo of the wonderful view.

This wooden bridge has, to my mind, the best view down the Grand Canal towards the Salute Church. Thronged with tourists, it allows one access to the Dorsoduro area.

This bridge is just a bridge. No beautiful architecture. Just a connection between the Academia and San Stefano Square.
