It is under renovation but you can still cross this bridge. And as there are limited Grand Canal crossings, this one is a major bridge. The area surrounding it is interesting as all of Venice can be. It's fun to explore all the neighborhoods.

It may take some serious searching to get to this place. We loved getting lost and crossing so many bridges.

Yes, it is under significant renovation and likely will be for several more months. It does prevent you from stopping and taking in one of the nicer views of the grand canal (much better than the Rialto). If you are tall enough you can hold...More

The bridge is under reconstruction but still worth going to the area because of its location. Both sides of the canal are worth visiting and the bridge is a quick cut through from Zaccahria to St marks

Disappointing to find this bridge completely obscured by boarding and therefore with no views down the canal. Fortunately they have installed temporary access so at least we did not have to endure a massive detour or expensive alternative crossing.

To cross from San Marco island to Dorsoduro island you have to pass the Accademia bridge which is under construction and completely covered. It looks like Christo has been there. So there is nothing to see from the bridge still from the Canale Grande. Only...More

It’s a shame as this bridge is having work done at the moment so you are unable to see the actual bridge.

Currently undergoing restoration and repair the bridge is covered in netting and the walking surface is blocked off. Have to use temporary steps except for the first 5 or 6 steps on either side.

Shame really. Couldn't see anything of this bridge as it's having some work done to it. You could lift your camera up high and snap a good view though!

Despite the entrance fee being higher that advertised it was worth it. Particularly beautiful are the medieval and renaissance religious paintings on the first floor. Also the the statues and architectural drawings on the ground floor.
