After a long period of careful restoration the clock is visible once again - and it beautiful. Do look out for it if in San Marco, and do take a camera

This cobalt blue clock with astrological symbols and stars is beautiful. Topped by the Venetian winged lion it is an iconic symbol of the city. Loved the clock chimes on the hour.

Beautiful building on Piazza San Marco next to the Basilica. Every hour, the Renaissance-style clock that is topped by two bronze Moors hammer out the hours of the day.

If you are at the square, you should wait for the clock to sound in the hour. There will be 2 statues sounding the bell.

It's a beautiful building, a beautiful clock, and it's on Saint Mark's Square in Venice. That's why we give it a 4 rating. We did not go in, but enjoyed seeing it, and hearing the moors (the topmost statues) sound its bell, expecially at night....More

This late 15th century edifice was visible to the lagoon to proclaim Venice's wealth and glory to those who sailed past. The lower 2 floors of the tower form an arch which linked the religious and political center of the city to the commercial area....More
