What an amazing place. Loved every minute of our visit. Paid to go up onto the roof which was a real highlight. Really steep stairs up to it but well worth the effort.

A trip to Venice would not be complete without a visit here. Tip..... Try and get there by 9.45, otherwise be prepared to que for up to 45 minutes. Tip....Ladies have to have shoulders and knees covered so bear this in mind when visiting. Tip........More

This is another stunning building in St Mark's Square. The queues are always very long so we went on their website and bought 'skip the queue' tickets for only 2Euros each. Definitely recommended! The Basilica is otherwise free to go in but as other reviewers...More

This is one of the must see/do while in Venice. Magnificent place. Unique pieces you are not going to see anywhere else. There is a cost to be able to see the altar but at 2 euros well worth it.

I would recommend a walking tour here because there is a rich history to it and there's lots more to see then your average Basilica. We didn't have a walking tour as we had Rick Steve's Audio Guide which made the visit so much more...More

We took pictures, didn't stop anyone taking pictures. It's a beautiful place :) You should try to visit some of the beautiful churches too if you can :)
