Beautiful building. We booked our tickets in advance to avoid the queues. Absolutely worth a visit. We went in late October so it wasn't to busy.

It was interesting when walking in to see water in spots on the floor which we were told comes through the small grates in the floor due to the rising and falling of the water surrounding Venice. Inside the church is absolutely stunning, and learning...More

The views inside are spectacular. The gold trim, icons, mosaics and paintings are magnificent. Be sure to go to the "balcony" on the 2nd level for the view inside and outside

Go between 11:30-12:30 each day, when all lights in the cathedral are turned on. It is really gorgeous

Amazing architecture and pretty impressive considering how long ago it was built. Well worth the visit regardless of one's faith.

Venice doesn't have the same number of attractions as some of the other cities in Italy. This church is definitely worth a stop. It has beautiful architecture. The line can get a little long to get in though.

The mosaics are not to be missed. This is a spectacular church and pay the extra to go to the altar area.
