“I just didn't find it amusing or informative enough”
With tickets from €25 (€15 for children) VENEZIA at Teatro San Gallo, is a celebration of Venice. A light hearted, exuberant and entertaining show that illuminates some of the stories and traditions of the city in a very theatrical and enjoyable...more
Suggested duration: 1-2 hours
Campo Rusolo O San Gallo 1 | 1097 San Marco, 30124 Venice, Italy
The Teatro main activity is a show about the history of Venice. Sometimes informative, sometimes funny, this little show (, small theater , 4 actors if I recall correctly, about 70% full when we visited) is a nice way to spend an evening in Venice,...More
I went along to the show and I just didn't find it that entertaining. Yes, there were a lot of people who were enjoying the show, but I didn't find the humour in it funny (it seemed to be a bit stuck in the 80s,...More
Very well put together production that covers an awful lot in a short time in an entertaining and engaging manner. The small cast are energetic and put there all into getting across the key themes that make Venice what it is. A good way of...More
This show made my trip.
Learned a lot of history about Venice that added to my later visits and experiences of things here. The cast (although small) were amazing and given the length of time the time the show has been running their enthusiasm for...More
At one time there were over 100 private theatres in this beautiful city and theatrical performances dominated historical culture How lovely that it is still alive today We attended Venizia and were so very glad we did The actors, script and presentation were of great...More
Went to the show. It was a small theatre, show was all in English. I found the show quite boring, the actors were okay but i feel like the show could of been better. Kids would enjoy the show more i guess.
As always history lessons are more interesting when doesn't feel like a lesson. This production is very entertaining and filled with so much information. The actors are very good and interact with the audience . It's very lighthearted and a good way to understand a...More
Absolutely fantastic! All spoken in English, comedy, drama and history, highly recommend going to watch this performance, can't describe enough how good this show is, even better if you can do the Hard Rock Cafe package too for dinner afterwards, will be going to see...More
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
