I'm not a jazz expert but I enjoyed the music and recognised a few of the numbers being played. I felt it was a great way to enjoy a night in Venice, nice music and a bottle of prosecco.

What an intimate little gem of a find. Such an enjoyable evening of live jazz music. Frederico is a fantastic host. We arrived at 7pm when the doors opened to request a reservation and we're told to return at 8:45 for a 9pm start. The cost is £20 per head which includes the first drink. We chose the £50 for... It's where Jazz-fans meet in Venice. A real cool atmosphere where you can meet locals as well as a few tourists. They have acts of italian newcomers as well as some international musicians. We had a real good time socializing there. Cool folks there!

This little hole in the wall is an awesome experience. We walked in without a reservation into the small Jazz bar and got a little seat in the back. The theme of the night was Latin Jazz and it was amazing. The drinks were all on point and they offered a variety of small tasting snacks and some appetizers for... More

If you like jazz (or even if you don't) this is well worth going to if you're in Venice for a couple of days. Entry includes a drink, which always gets a 👍 from me! Band were terrific and venue had a decent atmosphere.

Absolutely loved this Jazz Club, not easy to find but once you are there Frederico will make you welcome, not only is he a fantastic host, he is also a great pianist, his group consists of a good Double Base player, a Drummer who can turn his hand to playing anything and also a great guitarist. I know going to... More

I was in Venice last weekend and made a return visit to the delightful Venice Jazz Club. Small and cosy, the atmosphere here is very friendly and welcoming and the staff make visitors feel very much at home. There is a weekly themed programme of jazz played by excellent local musicians and on my more recent visit, we were treated... More

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
