Great to be able to see the house of a great master. Very well kept and very interesting. Rooms upstairs are kept empty, the room downstairs is a sort of museum showing the colour dyes to make the paint.

This museum is worth checking out if only because of the significance of the man who lived there as a child. Tiziano was nothing short of an artistic genius and Pieve di Cadore is rightly proud that he is from there.

The house would be worth a visit even if it had not been the birthplace of the great Titian because it is very rare to find such an ancient building (given the extreme flammability of the wood). Observe every detail carefully: from the floor on the ground floor made up of wooden polygons to the large kitchen on the first floor and, a great idea, that of reproducing in your display cases the pulverized colors that were used for painting (a dive into the old shops where they were prepared by hand by the boys)
