This is a large art museum with an impressive collection. However, it no doubt suffers because of its proximity to the amazing frescoes of the Scrovegni Chapel (well, almost everything in Padova pales in comparison to the Scrovegni Chapel). It is still worth a visit....More

We had only 105 mins to spend in this museum. It was not enough. We only saw the art gallery and had to hurry towards the end. Negative is that almost all signs are only in Italian. Highlights are the Giotto room and the small...More

This museum is located next to the Scrovegni chapel. Tickets to the chapel and museums are sold at the same counter. Since you usually have to wait before entering the chapel, you can visit the other collections in the meantime. On the ground floor, you...More

Nice collection. Could you more signs in different languages. Wasn't my favorite experience. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

If you were not overwhelmed with the Cappella degli Scrovegni, then wander around this museum. The second floor is where the action is and be prepared to be filled to the gills with art, about 95% of it with a religious theme. I must admit,...More

Really this is worth spending an hour or two if you can. There are Master painters exhibits as well as Giottos Crucifix that is amazing. The art here is incredible and I was full of wonder and so appreciative to see such masterpieces.

Was a bit surprised to discover huge art collection in otherwise nondescript Padova. This museum is at par with Galleria del Accademia/Uffizi and stocks brilliant collection of Giotto and Donatello masterpieces. There is also nice archeological museum nearby. It is close to train station so...More
