Words can't describe this cathedral with it's multiple chapels and of course the Tomb of of St. Anthony. Unfortunately, it is being renovated at this time, but still a great site.

The most visited church in Italy for pilgrims. The tomb of St Antonio, who was from Portugal, is unique.

You've just got to experience this, even if you are not a catholic, even as an atheist. This is a church alive, and with good vibes. Visit the oratory also, it is worth the 5 €

I enjoyed watching the architecture of this church and beautiful Giotto's frescoes. The church also contains the tomb of St. Anthony. Generally the photography isn't allowed inside the building, but I was granted a special permission to make only one photo of the tomb, without flash. I tried to make the best of this great opportunity I was given! I... More

This is the most important pilgrimage Church dedicated to St Anthony, any where in the world. It is also beautifully adorned with great works of art -- as are most Italian churches. The Church contains the tomb of St Anthony , where pilgrims offer prayers and petitions. One senses a great deal of reverence. Relics and artifacts associated with the... More
