This museum of mountaineering and the history of the guides of Courmayeur is first class and well worth a visit.

This is a surprising little museum in downtown Courmayeur. Here you get a real feel for what the mountaineers might have experienced at a time when they didn't have high-performance gear. I thought it was definitely worth the time.
