About
Skyway Monte Bianco is much more than a cableway to reach 3,466 meters. It’s an experience: vertical, alpine, cultural, food & beverage and surreal. We bring you to the highest point of Italy and to the closest to the Mont Blanc. You'll live the experience inside the experience.

    Clever but misleading marketing
Obviously mountains and snow are attractive and beautiful. For this reason it is a great but expensive trip up. What they forget to tell you after paying 55 euros is that you can travel higher for another 38 euro but it crosses into France. In reality this is the most impressive part of the trip as it takes you above the glaciers and another 400m higher but its in France. It means in 2 adults and a 10 year old we paid 257 euro only for lifts. It's a 1 time experience but the extra cost is sneaky. Maybe it's cheaper simply to go from Chamonix. Don't waste your money unless you are willing to pay the extra to go higher and get better photos.

    Amazing views
I was fairly skeptical about the Skyway, since it is quite expensive and I usually prefer being able to explore on my own. But the views from Punta Helbronner are really amazing, and worth the price, especially if you won't ever get that high on a mountain in another way. Also, it was nice that there were some options to walk around during winter midway at the Pavillion. Definitely a must-do if you are in the area, although I hope that next time I can rather descent on skis than with the cable car.

    A breathtaking experience
We pre-booked this experience prior to our trip as a group of 8 people. We visited in mid February, UK half term and found this to be a quiet week to visit the Italian Alps. Likewise, it was a very quiet day on the Skyway and we managed to ascend and descend without any queues. We planned our ascent for 11.30am and at the ticket desk we were advised to visit the Pavillion on the way down and head straight to the top, Punta Hellbroner, where we could stay for two hours. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking with the cable car rotating throughout the whole journey offering views across the Mont Blanc range and surrounding mountains. At Punta Hellbroner we were able to access viewing decks which offered 360 degrees views which was quite an experience! As it was my husband’s birthday, we visited the bistro and ordered champagne to celebrate. When the staff realised that it was his birthday, we were given a complimentary birthday cake which was such a nice touch. Everyone was so friendly. On our descent, we stopped at the Pavilion and sat on the deckchairs, taking in the views and enjoying a drink from the restaurant whilst the sunshine shine around us. Yes, the experience is a little costly for a group, however, I would recommend highly that you visit if you have the opportunity to. We made wonderful memories here.

This was the highlight of our visit to northern Italy. The scenery was breathtaking. It was well-worth the admission cost. We went early in the day and the cable car was not too crowded.

It’s an really awesome but pricey experience. You can see the stunning scenery of Mont Blanc 360-degree in the cable car.

Online reservation is not reflecting the real occupancy of the cab, this limit a lot the booking. No live webcam positioned at arrival to decide to stop at pavillon or continue to the top, you need to trust to operators that are willng to suggest to take the cab till the end, spending a lot without certainity of good view and visibility. Unsatisfied.

This is an absolute must, a truly amazing experience.

It is well organised, efficient, and spectacular.

Definitely book in advance. You can get tickets here, but pre booked takes priority

A lifetime experience.

It was an unbelievable experience! Definitely must do! We did the first week of April at the end of the ski season. No lines, more affordable prices everywhere and absolutely stunning views. Courmayeur is my new favourite destination!

We were fortunate to choose a beautiful day to really enjoy the expected panorama.
Skyway Monte Bianco from start to finish was a breathtaking experience which allows you to reach the sky and almost touch the majestic peaks around you at the top station Punta Helbronner at over 3300m
It is an extraordinary engineering feat of the last decade and middle, Pavillon du Mont Frety. and top stations are futuristic in their design in glass and metal.
It is not surprising that it makes Aiguille du Midi outdated as it was constructed in 1955
but it is important to remember its location on a rock pinnacle at over 3800m is also extraordinary engineering feat and it is a little more unnerving
Both top stations have a 360 degree panorama of Swiss French and Italian alps
Unlike the rectangular cramped cabin to Aiguille du Midi you leave the base of Skyway at Entreves 1300m and enter a slowly rotating semispherical spacious cabin.
It almost feels like man outer space experience
The first section crosses almost vertical rock face and you marvel at modern structural engineering technology and capability.
The views from the top station were seen with a blue sky and you could see Matterhorn and Monta Rosa clearly in the distance.Mont Blanc of course was the crowning glory and to me from the italian side its majesty was more apparent
We stopped at middle station at 2130 m and relaxed in the terrace sunshine with reclining chairs looking upwards to Mont Blanc.
It was a perfect way to finish the day

I bought the cumulative ticket for 2 days of skipass plus the Skyway ticket. The skipass expired yesterday but the website did let me book the Skyway for this morning. When I showed up the skipass was not working so at the beginning the staff wouldn't let me enter and suggested I bought another ticket, paying the full price on top of what I had already paid to add the Skyway ticket to my skipass. Nowhere on the website did it say that the skipass had to still be valid, in fact I was able to book this morning and immediately received the confirmation. It was pointed out to me by the staff that my booking confirmation mentioned it, but of course I had my booking confirmation only after I purchased the cumulative ticket and had already made plans for my whole stay. At the end, the staff solved this problem by kindly offering a discount on the new ticket, but honestly I decided to go only because this is a once in a lifetime experience as I live far away from Valle d'Aosta, I don't think that I should have had to get another ticket only because the website is not programmed as it should and doesn't provide any information on how the bookings work.
