Merano is a charming little down to stroll around with some interesting shops and restaurants. in many ways it seems more Italian than the Germanic-feeling nearby Bolzano. If you want to have a look at the historic centre there's an excellent carpark just across the river where you can use a footbridge to gain access.

A bustling town, with plenty of shops and activities. Lots of restaurants and cafes and lovely setting in the mountains. Many evenings there are bands playing which is very pleasant.

Merano is a lovely town to spend a couple of hours in.Firstly, there is plenty of parking near the old town. The centre itself is very nice with pretty buildings and shops. There are plenty of shops ,restaurants and coffee shops in the town. There is a river flowing through the towns and you can take some nice photos from the bridge crossing it.

The Old Town of Merano is very pleasant to stroll in, as there are many photogenic corners, in particular alleys, as well as many shops and restaurants. It could be the perfect scenery for a movie!

We spent an afternoon in Meran and most of the time in the well conserved city center.
It is not as large as Bozen’s one but also with many interesting buildings and historical sites.

Beautiful city centre, ideal for walking around and enjoying views onto the river and various buildings, many of them of historical-architectural value. Many shops and cafes where you can sit and enjoy your coffee.

Just a few streets but nice for a pleasant stroll or a drink on a terrace. Nothing exceptional although the streets along the river are very nice.

In taxi?
