Best place to learn about early Milan (Mediolanum). Mediolanum was the most important Roman city in Northern Italy, an important east-west, north-south cross-roads. Several churches and other foundations about town testify to this history. This museum puts those pieces together.

We really enjoyed this museum. It's well set up with different eras on different floors. Do not miss the church next door.

This was a very interesting museum - unfortunately we visited at lunchtime so the basement and 3rd floor were shut, but it was very well laid out.

This is a very interesting museum and well worth a visit. It's reasonably priced at just €5 and with three floors of artefacts to see it gives a good 1-2 hours of interest.
