Our red open top double-decker buses have already become part of the city...

Our red open top double-decker buses have already become part of the city of Milan and they are becoming more and more appreciated by tourists from all over the world and by those people who want to know Milan from a different perspective, without having to cope with the hectic pace of this metropolis.

3 lines, 5 buses and a commentary in 8 languages are the necessary ingredients to explore the city and visit its most popular attractions and places of interest: The Sforza Castle, Sant’Ambrogio Cathedral, Parco delle Basiliche and Leonardo’s Navigli area. You can take a ride on a boat tour for a mini-cruise and discover the canals. Then our bus takes you to the Duomo, Milan’s most famous landmark, and you can see the Golden Madonnina perched on top of the tallest spire; then you reach the Scala Opera House. The blue line reaches the new skyscrapers area and takes tourists around the luxury shopping area in the core of the fashion district which attracts visitors from all over the world, also the most demanding ones.

A standard city sightseeing tour. Buses were modern and the headphones worked (most of the time). Staff on board were ok. Routes were grand but only use the red route if you want to go to san siro. As you would expect it does get very busy and the times the buses are due to start and finish are not... More

Seriously bad experience - the driver of the bus was on his mobile phone chatting for the entire journey - Line C green route. The hostess was also involved in the phone calls, which appeared to be either a video call or Facetime. The hostess participated in these calls with the driver for the majority of the journey. We counted... More

Headphones with commentary in English. 3 different routes (we did red and blue) Timetable given on the map, but beware as the buses did not stick that accurately to the published times. Disabled rate was half price for disabled and companion but had to ask. Booked at the visitor centre.

Bought a two day ticket for 25 euros inside the bus (line B, blue) at Milano Centrale stop in front of the train station. I took the first bus on Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th in October. On Saturday wasn't too crowded, but on Sunday morning was very crowded. It is a great way to see the city on the... More

We did 2 different tours on the bus, the first was the middle length one which was a really good way to see the city. We then did the shorter one which seemed a bit disjointed and we doubled back on ourselves a few times, also the guide on this one was very depressing to listen to even though she... More

I like to do the open top bus tours in all cities as believe it is the best way to make sure you see the things of interest and as usual this tour did that. It was a very hot day when we did it so we did the full tours of all the 3 routes and enjoyed the sights... More

Visited Milano as a day trip from where we were staying in Bergamo. Easy 50 minute trip, so a full day's sight seeing is possible - if you have planned out where you want to go. We had a sort of walking itinerary which involved a walk from Milano Centrale train station (a sight worth seeing in its own right)... More

Staying in Brera

Neighbourhood Profile
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
