Absolutely lovely place to visit, shops very expensive but the restaurants are great, I've to wonder through and sit down for a nice pasta or pizza

It was nice to wander around and admire the details: the tile floor, the soaring ceilings, and the shops.

This 19th century open air boutique mall is able to hold its own beside Milan's treasure. A landmark in itself.

Only branded shops and that too very few in number, it seems to be the priciest place to be in if you are in a mood for shopping. Hardly 0.001% of the entrees shop here as evident by the empty showrooms. There are one very good cafe called Motta which serves a fantastic breakfast at a quarter of the price... More

Apparently the original Galleria? Grand, well appointed and spacious. Milan led the world in this respect in the late 1800's!

Having seen it featured in Hollywood films it was good to see it in real life. Packed with tourists having their photos taken, it's a busy place. Great to wander about but few of us can afford to shop there. Lovely bookstore in the main section though.

I have always wanted to visit this place ever since my family put up a poster/picture in our family deli in Denver where I grew up. I can finally check this off my bucket list. Full of shops and gorgeous architecture.

A must do in the city of Fashion! The designer shops offer windows to admire and for some...... dream about! Impressive and beautiful gallery where you find yourself looking around all the time for a glimpse of someone famous!

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
