The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

Fine Dining of Milanese Cuisine at Duomo Piazza.
Great Milanese cuisine and ambience. I ordered the Risotto Milanese - yellow saffron, sausage with red wine, and Peach mousse. Friendly and prompt service. They politely ask us if we can finish by 10 pm as they have block booking for the performers from nearby theater.

    Stunning architecture
After a contemplative adjacent visit to Milan's Catholic Cathedral, I had no interest in over-the-top consumerism marked by incredibly expensive high-end shopping, but nonetheless enjoyed walking through this incre4dibly beautiful street with its magnificent glass roof. Splendid architecture, although the presence of McDonalds to the side felt and looked incongruous. It had been raining but thankfully there was no evidence of roof leaks.

    Amazing place but overcrowded.
It was a great experience and great exploring if you can cope with chaos and have a lot of time. Many brand name shops around and great restaurants near by shop until you drop than take a sit have a glass of white wine or champagne. Overall, new experience for me.

    Wonderful
Looking at it in all its splendor and from many angles it doesn't even seem like it dates back to the last century. At Christmas it has a particular charm with its illuminated tree in the center of it. Full of designer shops and famous and very expensive restaurants. Always full of people moving around frenetically. Forget about the ride on the bull's testicles, a superstitious ritual that serves no purpose, except to require the intervention of maintenance workers more often... In any case, the visit is highly recommended...

    Masterpiece of architecture.
What a remarkably beautiful place – inside and out. An exquisite demonstration of unparalleled artistry and skill. Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is an absolute gem in the heart of Milan. Milan shows why it is called the fashion capital of the world.

    Stunning architecture but very touristy
My wife and I visited Milan on our wedding anniversary trip this past August. We went to the Galleria just to admire the stunning architecture. It has many high end shops and exclusive restaurants but we just strolled through without stopping in any of them. Although crowded, we enjoyed just looking at the beautiful architectural design of the building.

Underrated place like the whole city
Before arrival to Milan, lot of people said there isn't much to see, it's nothing special etc. Without expactations, honestly I was really pleasantly suprised by whole city. I would say Milan is underrated city. There's a lot wide streets, nice parks, great people as well. Galleria Vittorio is also really nice place, exceeds stories and advices online, worth visiting definitly

    elegance
Step inside and be awestruck by the soaring glass and iron dome that bathes the interior in a warm glow. The intricate mosaics underfoot and the grand arches adorned with frescoes overhead transport you back to a bygone era of elegance. Keep an eye out for the famous bull mosaic - legend says spinning on its heel brings good luck!

    Must visit site in Milano
Truly, the majority of shops in here were luxurious brands. We can still do the window shopping, plus the site building was magnificent. This is a must visit site in Milano. I'm just not sure how you can avoid the overcrowded situation to take enough photos of your choice.

Everyone who visits Milan ends up going to the magnificent Duomo, the incomparable cathedral of the city. A two minute stroll away, stands the magnificent Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II a majestic venue with elegant shops that transports you to another era. The Galleria is often crowded so try to schedule your visit during the morning when you can enjoy it better.

It may be a little confusing to walk inside, after a while it becomes disorienting to figure out which way is which. All stores look the same then you may loose your way out. It has nice restaurant & bars. It was really crowded day and night.

It’s one of those must see places but it’s not as big as you think or as classy. It is full of dimwits posing like goons for social media, shops are no better than anywhere else in the city and restaurants did not seem welcoming. Motte at the main entrance is an exception. Definitely have coffee and a pastry there and watch the dimwits at your leisure.

It’s no arc Della pace but it’s easily mistaken as an arc in itself, thank goodness for the helpful locals setting me straight and on the right path.

This entrance is an architectural masterpiece for a high end galleria or mall, essentially. Milan has always been known for its fashion, first and foremost, architecture is definitely its second best known skill.

The detailing of the entrance to the galleria is beyond impressive, the interior is just as jaw dropping. I can only imagine the builders of our high end malls in seeing this galleria and leaving with their tails between their legs and feeling their second best collection comes pale in comparison.

Very welcome in Milan's less than warm weather. After delightful weather in Venice and Verona, Milan came as a bit of a shock, much colder and wetter. This great arcade was a shelter for hundreds of tourists and locals and contains up market shops.Very attractive. Seems to be pretty much identical to another one in Naples.

Stunning place as always.
This is the second time i visit this place and what impressed me was that everyday all restaurants inside had full reservations. Prices are a bit hight and over budget but for one time really worth to try a restaurant there.
In the middle of the Galleria many people post social media pictures and videos about this place.
In general is a very famous place to visit.

Largest and most famous shopping galleria in Milan. Next to the Duomo - packed with people both day and night. The inside of the galleria are filled with the most elite and expensive stores ... fun to spend a few hours inside the dome structure. A must see!

OK, the architecture is nice, but that's about it. It houses overpriced shops that most people cannot afford to purchase anything in. There are masses of people just wandering around taking photographs. The cafés are expensive and the staff arrogant. I'd suggest just visiting for 5 minutes to say that you've been there and maybe take a photo or two, before you go to the spectacuar O Dourmo, which is across the street,

You will enjoy the energized atmosphere in this magnificient building full of top designer boutiques. And when the Opera starts their season and you missed the tickets to La Scala, you will have the chance to enjoy the Opera in the Gallery where the big screen is put for the people to see and to listen. You will feel this majestic feeling as you were in La Scala.
Highly recommended to visit!

Reputed to be the oldest shopping mall in Italy. It is named after Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of Italy. There are two glass vaulted arcades intersecting in an octagon covering the street connecting Piazza del Duomo to Piazza Della Scala. The central octagonal space is topped with a glass dome. On the ground of the central octagonal, there are four mosaics portraying the coat of arms of the three capitals of the kingdom of Italy, ( Turin, Florence and Rome) plus Milan's. There are numerous shops and dining places. Principally, the galleria contains luxury retailers selling haute couture, jewelry, books and paintings as well as restaurants , cafes, bars and a hotel.
