The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

this place was closed when we got there though their website (when I was doing my research on places to visit in Milan)says that they’re open at the time! Place looked unkept and abandoned. They should update their website as it is deceiving to tourists.

A good experience for me and my daughter, only downside is that we couldn't understand it and had to wait for our friend to translate us what was being explained. Its educational and highly recommended for kids and adults as well

We visited Milan in July. After a long walk through the city, while going back to our accommodation, we went past this Observatory. It was 20th of July, right when E' la Luna, bellezza! - Stelle e Musica show took place. 50 years since landing on the moon was celebrated with an informative and funny presentation from the observatory accompanied by an amazing show of classical music. The mezzo-soprano Külli Tomingas and pianist Luca Schieppati offered us gorgeous moments. It was 5 euro the ticket for an adult and 3 euro the one for the child. Only a couple of seats were reserved but the rest you could choose from. We came kind of late and sat next to a wall, close to a piano and a microphone. We never even conceived that both artist would come there... right next to us! I mean, we were right next to them, 50 cm from the piano! It was unbelievable! They said that the show would last about an hour and a half but instead lasted more than 2 hour.s The show started at 21:00. We may not have understood much of the Italian presentation on the Moon (we do not speak Italian) and we may not have used the observatory as it was intended, but for sure, it was an unforgettable experience for which we felt blessed. Thank you for providing people with knowledge and culture in events like this one!

Regretfully, we couldn't enter as during week days it is ONLY for schools. General public is allowed ONLY on WEEKENDS. So, disappointing for our toddler.....and this is not posted officially anywhere.....They even sell tickets online for the shows on these days that are pre-booked for schools. Call them before you go!

One of my favorite places in the city. For just a few bucks you get to experience the wonders of outer space and of the sky above us. The staff is really well prepared, and it's incredibly interesting.

Just go. Every event is interesting and the speakers are great and compelling. Wait for the view of the "real" night sky... just breathtaking.

Simply embarassing: the same technology and seats of 30 years ago. Paying for VR is more value than buy a ticket at the Planetario. A shame. The calendar and events is truly interesting and events are lead by serious professionals. It is a matter of revamping the site.

The planetariim is in Guardini Publicci, close to porta Venezia. Easily accesible sadly we were passing through the area around 9am so we did not even try to get in. There is a statue of the astronomer Roger Boschovich worth visiting.

This place is quite easy to find since it's adjacent to Porta Venezia, at the end of Giardini pubblici. From outside it looks like a quite interesting place, but because it was to crowded with children (probably some school trips) we decided to skip it. Still, looked promising.

It was ok, it is all in Italian with no translation, (which wouldn't normally be a problem as usually the visuals speak for themselves) however, it is more of a lecture and if you have no astronomical knowledge then it would be difficult to keep the kids entertained. If you speak Italian then I would recommend it, if you don't -don't bother.
