We visited Villa Pallavicino a family of four - 2 adults and two very young kids (11 month and 2 years 9 month). As we have young kids, we took our twin pram and asked about the accessibility of the park for the pram. We...More

Visited at end of September and, while the gardens were still okay, the rest looked like it had been a hard season. The place is easy to find, maybe a quarter mile along the (flat) road out of town from the ferry terminal. But there's...More

You can walk this from Stresa, south along the lakeshore for less than a mile. The Villa is beautiful but not open, but the gardens are most pleasant. Not top priority but worth a visit.

We visited the park this afternoon. It was really quiet, but I guess that can be expected off season. The park was nice and allows for a few hours walk with good views over the lake, nice trees and flowers and some animals which our...More

A short walk from the centre of stresa, we had a really pleasant few hours here. The walk through with deer, llama and goats was great. We thought the golden eagle could have had more space? There was a lovely cafe with great views and...More

A nice place to visit even on a damp and drizzly day, truly magnificent trees and ferns though hundreds of hydrangea a bit rampant. Animals seemed to have roomy cages and cute though depressing to see birds not able to fly and one parrot all...More

We visited here on our honeymoon during one sunny morning. Best was to describe it is a cross between a well-cultivated garden, a small petting zoo, and an aviary. Perhaps unusually (considering the name), you can't actually visit the villa, and the easy around is...More

The place has reopened in the beginning of August. We visited on a hot summer day. Lots of shade available and a nice stroll in this huge park with centuries old trees. The kids had a very good time with the farm animals. Too bad...More

It is easy top walk around, but it is on a hill. You better take the little train from Stresa main square so to arrive at the top and then walk down. Come and see us!
