There are many beautiful cathedrals in Italy. We have seen many, but Cathedral of Como is simply amazing. Entrance is free. Absolutely must see while in Como.

A rare mixture of gothic, renaissance & baroque that rather than clashing have created a rather unique building Even if you are a bit "churched out" this one is well worthy of a visit

If places of worship have any attraction for you at all, for whatever reason, this makes for an interesting, worthwhile visit. It is a magnificent building with a rich history. The staff on duty were pleasant and helpful. It pays for ladies to show respect...More

Very old and one of the most beautiful churches we've ever seen. It wasn't very crowded, so we could enjoy in full.

Wonderful place. Very atmospheric. Unfortunately our visit coincided with a baptism ceremony so our access was rather limited. Would go back though.

A nice way to visit the Duomo is to attend daily mass. The church is open during "non tourist hours" to attend mass. Just enter in the doors to the right of the main door, and walk down the right side of the Church. The...More

The tourist entrance is used when the Duomo is in Service so non-participating guests will not interrupt the religious program.
