I went on a guided tour around the park of the Villa Serbelloni with the excellent guide Paola who works with the Comune of Bellagio to provide these tours. Currently this is the only way to visit the park but is very well worth while. You walk up a series of sloping paths to finally reach the highest point on the Bellagio promontory where Lake Como splits into two arms going south to Como and south east to Lecco. And for the two hour duration of the visit Paola talked in three languages - English/French/Italian - about the history, geography, culture and current use of the Park. The tour lasts 2 hours and all the proceeds support childrens causes in Bellagio. Wear walking footwear and visit the loo before the beginning of the tour. Currently there are just two visits a day at 11am and 3,30pm and you have to book in the office by the park gates (or possibly on line). Well worth the visit

A great hoax! You pay a lot for the ticket just to see the lake from the top. You walk on slopes for more than an hour just to take a few pictures on top and to come back. No garden, no villa, no statues, nothing to see on the way. Besides, the guide is a young girl who doesn't know English very well and all she does is hurry up the group. Really disappointing.

Maybe I had the wrong expectation heading into this tour, but based on the description I had thought you would be able to get closer to/inside the Villa. The reality is, it's off limits and you don't even get close to it out of respect for the Villa's guests. The views are great, yes, but many places in Bellagio offer amazing views. Just not worth the two hours.

We went on the morning tour of the park of the Villa (itself off limits as a retreat for thinkers). The tour is organised from the Tourist Information office and costs 10 euro per head which goes to the municipality for improvements in the ambiance of the town. The guide was Petra - full of information and fluent in at least four languages. The walk through the park takes nearly two hours. It is relatively gentle along a well surfaced path through beautiful woods. The views from a number of levels over all of the branches of the lake are spectacular - especially from the highest point. Not to be missed.

Lovely scenic walk through the park to the top of the hill with beautiful views across the lake. The tour guide is very informative as you walk on the history of the area and switches between Italian and English.

In the upper part of Bellagio in the main square near the St. Giacomo church, there is a tourist office where you can purchase tickets. You should know that
you do not visit the villa and you do not visit a botanic garden. The tour is more of an uphill walk, during which you learn about the history of the property and the Rockefeller Foundation. The views and the beautiful landscapes are most enjoyable. Our tour guide was excellent (She spoke 5 languages). Most tours in Italy are given in Italian, but she gave the tour alternately in French and English. The tours are twice a day 11 am.and 3.30 pm.except Mondays and some holidays.

Very good view from the park to the lake. Be careful to book in advance. The villa cannot be visited, only the gardens.

The guided tour in the garden of Villa Serbelloni is really fantastic. You will walk in one of the most beautiful environments you have ever seen and will get amazing views at every corner into the different arms of lake Como.
