This the proud center of Cremona, a quiet square with the spectacular church of Maria Assunta, the Battistero and other beautiful palaces. There are several bars and restaurants where one can sit and enjoy the place and the people.

Not much to see in Cremona but is you go there this Piazza is very impressive. We were there on market day (Wednesday) which added more colour to what you can see.

Possible one of the best central squares on Lombardy (ruined only by an ungly fascist building in one of the corners) with the cathedral, batisteto and municipal palace of medieval origens. Great place for a short visit

The City Hall, the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Loggia dei Militi and the Torrazzo - all important buildings are worth to visit .

The self tour is well worth your time. This building has had changes made but has been the city hall for over 800 years. It is a fairly quick walk around but so informative. Free!

Great to visit during the evening, when there is no daily market. You can enjoy the beauty of the Cathedral with some very nice lights. Plenty of Gelateria where you can grab a sweet and enjoy it below the arches.

This piazza is extraordinary in that it seems unchanged from, say, five centuries ago. Visitors can see (for a small fee) a beautiful battistero. Nearby, the duomo houses excellent work of local artisans. Adjacent to the duomo is a tower of 505 steps which gives...More

This is either Piazza del Comune or Piazza del Duomo depending on where you are standing. Either way, it is most impressive especially when floodlit at night. The frescoes underneath the arches of the Comune building really stand out at night. We were there on...More

beautiful during the day for sightseeing and in the night/evening for numerous bars and pubs. Did not have a chance to try a dinner around.
