In the middle of the city there is this fountain. It is very well placed among the nice buildings around.

It is just a water fountain, but worth a look if passing in that direction. The buildings next to it are more impressive. The area is set in a busy crossroads, but surrounded by impressive buildings.

This fountain is located on a busy crossroad in Citta Bassa in Bergamo, just in front of the bank Credito Bergamasco. If you stroll around the area, you cannot miss it. Many will not probably pay attention but it is worth taking a look. It has an octagonal shape and there is a bassrelief on each of the sides, representing signs of the Zodiac.
The water comes either from various openings on the bassreliefs or from spargers under them or from both. How I understood later, the locals use to call this fountain "The Sugar Bowl". Because of its shape, probably.
