Funicular ride to the top, the view of the entire city, decorated streets for Christmas, multiple food places and shops and so much more makes it a must visit place at Bergamo.

Very atmospheric with beautiful decorations lining the cobbled streets. Very busy on Sunday. More expensive than the lower part of the city but to be expected.

The old city is beautiful and worth at least a day of wandering around. The Maria Basilica, restaurants, architecture, narrow streets, shops, etc. are just wonderful to explore.
