Castello Brown is not the most interesting of places however the gardens are pretty and the views over Portofino are spectacular. Climbing the many steps are well worth the effort!

Climbed to the Castillo Brown to view that Harbor. Worth the "few" stairs and effort . From above the sea port links amazing as well as the coastline .

It's not so much about an Italian castle, than an incredible view of Portofino. There are pleasant gardens to walk through, but the the highlight is the viewpoint you have, looking down on the harbour. There is also a 5 Euro per person charge.

You cannot come to portofino without seeing the view from atop castle brown. The castle itself is not that interesting, but the views are spectacular. I initially thought it was closed because the entrance to the park down by the pier was closed, but there...More

This is not your typical huge European castle, but it is certainly worth the vantage point on getting a bird's eye view of Portofino and any yachts/boats on the water.

Very nice destination to visit while in Portofino. A lot of history was made at this fort and it is worth to visit for the 5€/p.

Well worth the walk up. Great view of the harbour and the town. Enjoyed the black and white photos of old celebrities from the 50's & 60's on the second floor.

Well worth the hike to the top. Panoramic views of the sea and Portifino. Beautiful gardens. Historic castle.

The cruise line had arranged a wine tasting at this beautiful venue as a shore excursion. The Italian chef made a pesto sauce as a cooking class which we all sampled. We were then treated to a multitude of Italian treats, kind of in a...More

It took me about 30 minutes to climb. It's a solid hike. Not sure if there is any transportation available. The views are breathtaking.
