The castle and gardens which are housed at the centre of the park are tremendous but the park itself is quite unremarkable and nothing more than a prelude to the main attraction.

Along with the Castello, this is my absolute favorite in Trieste. Nature-wise=beautiful, peaceful, a perfect spot for picnic (or a quick, unplanned nap when it comes to us).
