It has been all said before the views within the confines of the Piazza are fabulous both by day and by night try too be there at sunset as the diminishing light adds lustre to your photos. History abounds and you won't be disappointed.

Tourist office is great, you need to ask for things though. At the time they had a fluent German-speaking Austrian but not a very good english speaker.
A true rival to St Mark's Venice without the overcrowded, overpriced, overrated hassle of that place. Do make a visit.
